Under the auspices of Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, “Youth Initiative for Human Rights” (founder of NF “Civic Alliance”) has started implementing the project “No impunity for the past”. Primary goal of the project is to investigate and document war crimes in Montenegro in the 1990s. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Parliament of Montenegro and the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro. Partners are the NGO “Documenta” from Croatia, “Youth Initiative for Human Rights” from Serbia and the NGO “Bukovica” from Pljevlja.

It is our pleasure to inform you that a decision on establishment of the Information and Documentation Center (IDC) has been signed as the part of this project, which formally establishes the center. Among other things, IDC will collect and archive all available evidence and facts related to war crimes that took place in Montenegro during the 1990s. We would like to thank the partners who provided selfless support in establishing the IDC.

By establishing IDC, we are one step closer to achieving the basic goal of the project, which is to face the past by documenting all available facts, which will contribute to Montenegrin society that will be more aware of the truth about war crimes in Montenegro during the 1990s, and thus to its recovery.
