DEMAND TO GOVERNMENTS IN THE REGION – ESTABLISH REGIONAL EXCHANGE FUND

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), a network of non-governmental organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo and Serbia, calls on governments in the region to commit themselves to setting up of a Regional Exchange Fund, it was said at a meeting of activists of this network, held in Montenegro on October 31, 2010. The Regional Exchange Fund shall be working on forging new ties between young people from the countries that succeeded the former Yugoslavia and encouraging exchange of youth from these countries inspired by the Franco-German model.

REPORT ON THE QUESTIONNAIRE SUBMITTED TO THE FIRST AND THE SECOND YEAR STUDENTS ON LAW FACULTIES

Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) conducted the survey, during the period starting from October 11 until October 13, among students on war crimes in Montenegro. The questionnaire was conducted for students at the first year on the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Sciences of Law of the University Mediteran, and students of the second year of UDG Faculty of Law (first year students had changed lectures thus, they were not able to provide their opinions). The questionnaire was delivered to 120 students, at each of the above mentioned faculties, with balanced gender.

MONITORING OF HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM

Program of protection of human rights includes monitoring, research, and documenting violation of human rights and their processing before competent courts. All activities undertaken in this program have the aim to protect victims of human rights violation and establishing the rule of law. Focus of the research are cases of political torture, politically motivate violence, discrimination and minority rights.

DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Work of Democratic Leadership School started in 2002, as specific program designed by Nansen Dialogue Center of Montenegro, intended for active and future political decision-makers, recognized bearers of social changes and creators of public opinion, potential and influential initiators of positive social changes and reforms. Since November 2009, administrator of the School is Youth Initiative for Human Rights.
