Within the project “Transitional Justice Initiative through Education and Art,” a series of activities are being implemented aimed at improving the situation in Montenegro regarding the process of confronting the past. The project deals with facing the legacy of conflicts and promoting reconciliation, and it has a set of activities focusing on raising public awareness of war crimes and trials. The project’s goal is to contribute to the process of confronting the legacy of conflict and raising public awareness of war crimes.

The project’s goal will be achieved through three results: R1 – Strengthening the capacities of social actors in Montenegro to confront the past and transitional justice; R2 – Enhancing the capacities of youth in Montenegro to confront the legacy of the past and promote reconciliation; and R3 – Raising awareness among the Montenegrin public through promoting a fact-based process of confronting the past and through artistic activism.

The project implementation period is from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The contact person for this project is Marko Vukčević, project coordinator (email: marko.vukcevic@yihr.org).
